I have this super strong love for the book of Howl's moving castle. I even like it better than the movie, although i'm not saying that the book is better, because both the movie and the book are wonderful in its own way. but i just like the book much more.
After rereading the book twice in two weeks, i decided to pick up on one of its sequels, House of many ways. I loved the parts where the old characters show up, srsly. and Howl never fails to make me laugh. He turned himself into this little adorable boy with a lisp and named himself Twinkle (for some reason) because he wanted to help sophie and have his second childhood.
And sophie is just really annoyed at Howl the whole time
So anyways, this is how I imagine Twinkle to look like, according to the description. (and also influenced by the anime movie of the book *HMC*. I saw the movie first, so i can't imagine howl looking like anyone else but the anime one. it's fine though.) And Sophie. Ive seen a lot of interpretations of how Sophie looks like. Most of them has Sophie with super duper long hair and awesome bangs. well, personally, I don't really think Sophie would look like that. She's the eldest of three and in the land they're in...i don't think so. or atleast I do. eh.
bottom line. I love these characters.
calcifer too.
oh yeah, to those who have read all three Howl books, should I read Castle in the air too? Is it worth buying? (I like reading books than in the internet) is it too aladdin-y? or is that good? ugh.
Howl and Sophie were the only ones who kept me reading honestly. Charmaine was perhaps a little annoying as a character. I think the reason for that probably is the large gap between castle. Dianna Wynne Jones probably lost the true feel of the book after not writing one after years.
OH MY GOD. THIS. This is super awesome and wonderful and all sorts of brilliant. The expressions are priceless and wonderful. It's so hard to find book-based Howl et. all fanart.... This totally made me laugh.
This is absolutely hilarious! Even though "House of Many Ways" seems to be my least-favourite in the series, Twinkle compensates for everything. Poor Howl, he just wants a shot at a second childhood and a pair of 'stwipey pants'. I love the way you've drawn his oh-so-innocent expression, and all the little surrounding sparkles. Sophie's angry face is hilarious as well.

haha thank you very much!
When I read the scene in the book when he goes to Sophie while she is explaining how she left Morgan with Howl and Calcifer I laughed XD
And your art! I envy you, you have a talent. The expressions are perfect, so them!
I have always thought that he called himself Twinkle after the song, you know "Twinkle, Twinkle, littler star"
He is such a prima donna xD
